Celebrating ALE’s New SafeCore® Facility in Vista, CA.
We are pleased to congratulate ALE on the opening of its new facility today October 2, 2026—an important milestone for the organization that originally invented and holds the foundational patents for SafeCore® technology.
SafeCore was developed by ALE as an innovative approach to improving lithium-ion battery safety. The technology was subsequently transferred to Amionx for commercialization, bringing this important safety innovation from its origins into broader commercial applications.
Today, Powerbanc is working with Amionx to take the next step—manufacturing and implementing SafeCore technology in commercial battery cells and bringing SafeCore-enabled solutions to the commercial market.
The opening of ALE’s new facility is therefore more than an expansion. It represents another milestone in a journey that began with technological innovation at ALE, progressed through commercialization by Amionx, and is now moving toward large-scale commercial manufacturing and market implementation through Powerbanc.
